Rare Error Note. Gutter Fold Error going all the way across the note from left to right bisecting the word North. Very rare early error on a Confederate Note. Issued at Raleigh, North Carolina on September 1, 1862 during the height of the Civil War. Note was to be redeemed before January 1, 1866. The South lost thus making this note worthless but as an error it is priceless.
